Sheiling School Thornbury is recruiting for Governors

February 11, 2019 Crossfields Institute

Due to their recent growth and expansion Sheiling School Thornbury is looking to appoint new governors to join their existing board.

Becoming a governor at Sheiling School offers the chance to make a real difference to the care and education of young people with Special Educational Needs, as well as providing a valuable opportunity to apply and develop your skills at board-level. The board of governors has responsibility for the organisation’s strategic development and direction. Governors are volunteers and no special qualifications are needed.

Sheiling School offers a unique educational, therapeutic, and social learning community to children and young people with moderate to severe learning difficulties. Based on the principles of Steiner / Waldorf education, their highly specialised approach benefits children and young people with a wide range of SEN diagnoses including autism, communication difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders and behavioural, emotional & social difficulties.

If you’re interested in joining their governing team and would like further information about the school and details of how to apply, please go their website and to the Jobs page-
