Working with a Sense of Place
Workshop Leader: Dr Isis Brook, Head of Faculty, Crossfields International
Is your group or organisation involved in:
Planning changes to a place;
Trying to adapt to a new environment;
Whilst mindful of your current practices, needs and future aspirations, we take an approach that allows you to take a step back and listen to the spirit of place that you work within. Engaging in this activity allows for more creative working together and more insightful decisions about changes for the future. Understanding the place in which we stand is necessary for ‘working with the grain’ of place and allowing constructive alignment to help guide our projects and activities.
Sense of place workshops can be organised to fit with your aims and aspirations and can be from two days to nine days.
The length of time, participant numbers and types of activities involved are best discussed as part of an initial conversation that can then lead to a bespoke workshop that fits with your situation and aims.
Sense of place workshops are delivered by Isis Brook who has twenty years of experience of philosophy and aesthetics of place and experiential place-based work.
