Advanced Soap Making @ Trill Farm
Nov 4 @ 9:30 am – Nov 5 @ 4:30 pm

Join us for a weekend where we will go deeper into the wonderful craft of soap making.

We will begin this two-day hands-on workshop by refreshing our understanding and practice of making cold-process soaps using plants harvested from the farm. We will then work with various techniques of refining the soap making process and make some specialty soaps including milk-based soap, marbled soap, embedding hand-built shapes into soap and will explore other creative possibilities in this fascinating craft. The course will suit those who have some background in soap making though previous experience with soap making is not essential.

You will leave with a collection of your own soaps and the knowledge and skills to carry on crafting soap at home.

Touchstone Meeting, November 2017 @ Crosfields Institute Virtual Learning Environment

Touchstone Meetings are cross-centre meetings held every 6 months, to which IQAs, Heads of Centres, Programme Managers are invited. At the meetings we review assessment and IQA work, share good practice, offer training and updates and identify any issues or new developments.

In the past two years we have offered the opportunity to attend a meeting on our virtual learning environment, rather than travelling to Stroud or another location.

Due to demand there will be 2 group meetings:
12.00-1.30pm tbc Group 1
2.00-3.30pm tbc Group 2
(UK time) online meetings hosted on the Crossfields Institute Virtual Learning Environment.

To find out more, please contact Alison Richards or Debbie Horseman.
