Level 5 Diploma in Nutrition and Lifestyle: Evaluating their Role in Chronic Disease Development (SRQ)

Delivered at the Institute of Health Sciences in Ireland, this qualification critically evaluates different theories and approaches and explores how and why nutrition and lifestyle choices influence the development of chronic disease, with a particular emphasis on the Functional Medicine approach. It uses a blended learning approach and is a total of 525 hours.

Level 7 Diploma in Subject Teaching (Steiner). Waldorfpedagogik för ämneslärare

Delivered at Waldorflararhogskolan, Sweden, this diploma is a specialist subject teacher training for those who work in Waldorf Schools. It is equivalent to a postgraduate certificate and is 600 hours. The programme is taught in Swedish.

IINH Diploma in Nutritional Science and Therapeutics

Delivered at the Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health this self-regulated qualification, aims to equip learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to become Nutritional Therapists. The qualification is mapped to the Core Curriculum for Nutritional Therapy as developed by the Nutritional Therapy Education Commission (NTEC). It is a total of 1650 hours.

Diploma in the Living Well Dying Well Person-Centred Approach to Death and Dying

Delivered by Living Well Dying Well in East Sussex. This Quality Mark programme introduces learners to the Living Well Dying Well person-centred approach to death and dying. The aim of this programme is to help learners develop practical skills and knowledge to be able to support individuals at end of life and their families within a person centred approach.

This programme is not an end of life care programme, but rather for those who are walking alongside the family, carers, professionals and others.

Align for Learning

Align for Learning is a certified part-time programme for teachers to learn how to identify and assess learning differences and design and implement effective Learning Support interventions. It meets all current legislative requirements. This Quality Mark programme is delivered by SWASEND (Steiner Waldorf Association for Special Education Needs and Disability) (www.swasend.co.uk) in East Sussex.

Foundations of Anthroposophic Medicine Diploma

This Quality Mark programme has been designed primarily for qualified practising medical doctors to be taken alongside their professional work. It teaches elements of the spiritual scientific methodology which underlies anthroposophic medicine. It is delivered in five long weekend modules and one five day intensive per year over three years. It is formally offered through Emerson College with many sessions taking place at St Luke’s Therapy Centre, Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Diploma in Creative and Practical Therapeutic Skills

Delivered at Dandelion Time in the South East. This diploma introduces the Dandelion Time family-based, child-centred approach to professionals working in the field.

Babies Music School

Delivered by Adriana von Runic Whittington, musician and teacher, Babies Music School is a course for parents, teachers and others that focuses on using music, singing and lullabies with unborn, new born, very young children and parents. The aim of the course is to:

  • Know about research into the effects of music on unborn, new born and very young children
  • Develop an understanding of how music is experienced by the child through the mother
  • Understand the potential benefits of singing, listening and playing music

The course is delivered mainly in China and is certified by Crossfields Institute as a Certificate of Participation.
